Kevin Madrigal is currently a 3rd year SMASH scholar and will be attending El Camino High School in the fall as a Senior. He is also a member of SMASCAST during the year and enjoys going to events to spread the word about them. He also enjoys using programs such as Photoshop and Final Cut Express. This year in SMASH video, he would like to learn how to do new effects and edit a lot of videos. He wishes to go in to college and major in a Genetics related field. He will probably always continue to do some work with Photoshop and Final Cut Express as he enjoys using those programs. Feel free to enjoy any of his assignments and leave him feedback!
In my community, I’m a part of the American Cancer Society. For our relay for life, I am the Accounting chair. At the last relay for life I participated in, I found out that skin cancer is spreading more rapidly around the world due to people’s ignorance of the sun’s harmful rays.
Wearing sunscreen is a simple step you can do towards a large fight against skin cancer.
From Wi-Fi to digital cameras to flatscreen televisions to google to the iPod, there has been a technological uproar in the past decade. Ten years ago, almost any person with a new gadget like a 2.7 megapixel SLR camera was considered to be very professional and rich, considering it would have cost you about $25,000. Now a days, you can pick up a way better and improved version of these cameras at a local Best Buy on a low budget.
There’s no doubt that in the past 10 years there has been a huge change in technology, but have people noticed? Technology is a recurring theme here at SMASH and I want to know how people around here feel about it.
For this documentary, these are my possible questions:
What kind of gadgets do you own, and which is your favorite?
What’s the biggest change in technology that you have seen over the past 10 or so years?
Do you prefer to use technology to do everyday things or do you like to do things more old fashioned?
