Assignment 4

July 30th, 2010

This is a PSA inspired by the sight of a driver who was texting on the road. I thought that was pretty dangerous, and I immediately felt like this was a message I wanted to spread. The other lethal things, the cobra, the piranhas, and lightning, come from a shirt my friend has. The shirt basically provided me with the structure of my video, and the news footage at the end was something I wanted to add in to scare folks into avoiding texting while driving.

Assignment 2

July 13th, 2010

Basically, my idea for Assignment 2 is a documentary on the RA’s here at SMASH. The documentary will focus not only on their experiences in college, but how those experiences inspired them to give back to the community. I find it interesting as to why some of them came to California, especially those who go to school on the East Coast. To do this, I will interview at least 3 different RA’s and ask them 4 simple questions detailing college, how it shaped their sense of social responsibility, how they became involved in SMASH, and why programs like this are important. I’d like to use the green screen to put random things behind them while they answer a few questions.
