Public Service Announcement Project – Graffiti

July 30th, 2010

The reason i created this Public Service Announcement was because i see it all around everyday when i lived in Oakland and one day when i road the train to Santa Clara, one strip of trip was completely defaced for about a mile. I just want children to take that talent and instead of degrading other people’s property, create, beautiful painting.  The children need a different outlet for their energy besides “tagging” things all around the neighborhood and destroying other people’s property.  Some have even gone as far as tagging trees and plants.  The graffiti needs to stop. Now.

How To Project – How to Plan a Party

July 30th, 2010

This how to video was created in order to have fun while showing others how to have fun.  We wanted to show the fun side of planning a party while also showing the serious side as well.  We had to incorporate math into the aspect, so we jumbled in some odd facts about calendars, saving money and other ideas.

Documentary Project – Pollution in Berkeley

July 30th, 2010

Pollution has become a very serious issue in the past decades but not many people truly believe in the cause or have truly accepted it.  Humanity believes that someone else will always take care of the problem and that they don’t have to deal with it now, because there will “always” be a later.  But, what if there is no later?!  The people that know that better  than anyone else are the people that live in Berkeley.  Many things have happened that has turned Berkeley into the place it is today, a very liberal and amazing place for a college, but also a drastic place compared to that of an earlier and more beautiful time.  Pollution kills the environment around us slowly and surely, don’t add to it.

Energy Project

July 30th, 2010

Energy is vital and the driving force of all systems on earth.  Do we know where we get our energy from?  Do we know what kind of Do we know what we use our energy for?  Do we know how we use our energy and how we waste it?  It seems we do and we don’t.  We kind of take for granted and make a joke out of energy everyday.  This energy video that i created should be used to help educate the public about what it means to waste energy and to show them that energy is all around them and to take advantage of that as much as possible.

Assignment 4: Mental Health PSA

July 30th, 2010

This Assignment was really personal to me. As someone who suffers from Depression, I think it is very important for others to know about mental health issues. I wanted the general public to know that people can be sick without looking physically sick.
