Energy Project
July 30th, 2010
Energy is vital and the driving force of all systems on earth. Do we know where we get our energy from? Do we know what kind of Do we know what we use our energy for? Do we know how we use our energy and how we waste it? It seems we do and we don’t. We kind of take for granted and make a joke out of energy everyday. This energy video that i created should be used to help educate the public about what it means to waste energy and to show them that energy is all around them and to take advantage of that as much as possible.

And here’s the finished product!! It’s super rushed and not my best work, but I think it was pretty good for a first assignment!!
Assignment 1: Energy
July 13th, 2010
For our first assignment, we were introduced to new materials such as the green screen, wireless mics, tripods etc. We basically did an impromptu interview within a group of four regarding the theme: energy. We all took turns answering questions pertaining to the subject and in the end we all edited our own videos individually.
Assignment #1 – Energy

Personally, being interviewed is the most nerve-wrecking process to go through. 30 minutes before the interview, I feel confident, I feel prepared, I feel ready, but right when I enter the interview room, my heart starts to beat faster and faster; my thoughts disappear, and my hands starts to shake. But none of this happened to me when I was being interviewed about energy. Why? Maybe because it was my peers who were interviewing me. Or maybe I just gained more confidence. Whatever it was, I’m glad I wasn’t a nervous wreck. I tried to answer all the questions through my own voice and perspective, and not through other people’s responses.
My group had a lot of great responses and it was kind of hard to choose between them. I didn’t want my video to be boring and dull, I tried my best to make it fun and funny with what I already know how to do, like changing the background, importing pictures, even though I had trouble with it, etc. Unfortunately, I could not import pictures because of an error, so I just decided to mix-up the backgrounds with different colors and designs. For my music, I wanted something that was creative and sort of “went with” the topic of the interviews, which was why I choose the song “Energy” because the topic was energy!
Assignment 1: Energy!
July 1st, 2010
This is my group for the first project: Miko Jones, James Lopez, and Kevin Madrigal. We were a very creative group who decided to add more than just the standard video project. Our assignment was to use new programs, such as Final Cut Express, to make a video about energy. Energy is the theme of SMASH this year, and we incorporated it completely in this video. We were introduced to green screens, and this was an experimental assignment. Being a creative group, we added more than the intended criteria. We made a skit at the end that really summed up what the idea of energy is, and it is very entertaining. Hope you enjoy! (:
